"Shoremen at the Next Level"

September 26, 2005

Andrew Means is still recovering from his second shoulder separation of the season and will most likely be redshirted at Indiana this year.  Before the injury, Andrew had a fine summer camp and was in the Hoosiers’ receiving rotation with five other wideouts.  Click on the College Corner photo gallery for some pics of Andrew during summer practice.  In Saturday’s action:

  • Jon Schroeder carried 11 times for 47 yards for Ashland, but the Eagles saw their fourth quarter lead evaporate for the second week in a row, losing 17-14 to Michigan Tech.
  • Scott Bennett continued his solid play for Mercyhurst,  ringing up four tackles in the Lakers 33-27 loss to Ferris State.
  • Shawn Brunner had five tackles, including two for losses, but Oberlin lost to Rose-Hulman by a score of  45-13.
  • At Mount Union, Matt Kostelnik continued his stellar play with six tackles, a pass broken up, and his second interception in as many games.
