College Corner
"Shoremen at the Next Level"

October 27, 2007

It was a relatively quiet weekend on the college front for our guys.  Andrew Means did come up with 9 catches for 66 yards, but he was pretty much the only bright spot for Indiana in a 33-3 loss at Wisconsin.  For the year, Andrew is second on the Hoosiers with 38 catches through nine games.

In Saturday’s other games:

·       Starting offensive tackle Ian Pace seems to have instilled some of that good Shoremen winning tradition in his Fordham team.  The Rams shut out Marist, 33-0, to stay atop the Patriot League.  They are 7-2 overall, 5-0 in league play, and are riding a five game winning streak.

·       Chris Rau continued his solid play for Georgetown with six tackles.  Unfortunately, the Hoyas fell 45-0 to Lehigh.

·       Matt Kostelnik’s Mount Union Purple Raiders stayed perfect with a 37-0 whitewashing of Capital.  Captain Kostelnik chipped in with a couple of tackles.

·       Jon Schroeder was held scoreless but his Ashland Eagles shut down Findlay 34-10 to move to 6-1 in the GLIAC.
